
A new installation of the Altium NEXUS Server provides a single Git-based design repository - Versioned Storage - for accommodating all of your managed design projects. Design Repositories are centrally managed as part of the Altium NEXUS Server, through its local Version Control service. Prior to creating a new Managed Project, or converting an existing non-managed project, ensure that a Design Repository exists in which to store that project, and all future projects.

Backup and other basic services are taken care of. No need to make decisions about storage locations. Some key benefits to using Managed Projects are: Centralized storage under the control of the Altium NEXUS Server also enables this feature to be a foundation for other collaborative services. Managed Projects target the development stage of the project lifecycle, simplifying the creation and ongoing workflow for version controlled projects.
